Welcome to the Comics and Manga section! if you are a student, i’m sure you are very glad to see this section. I’m going to be reviewing and suggesting Comics, and manga!!! YAAAAAAAY!Manga, by the way, is a japanese/chinese comic. I’ll be reviewing the translated versions, of course.

   Today we will review Manga. ^.^ ! The manga will be called (drumroll please) FAIRY TAIL  this is my personal favorite as anime AND manga. I suggest you check it out. You should be able to find it at least in the Hilo Public Library. It WILL be suggested in the more teen-y section, so ask your mom or dad ( unless you are a parent reading this) before reading it. The story is about a magical guild and bases off of Lucy Heartfillia, a main character in the manga. She has the celestial magic power, which is based off of zodiac signs. she can summon the leo, aries, gemini, cancer, virgo, ect. they all take form of humans, but have magical powers, too. There is also Erza, Natsu and his winged cat Happy, Gray, and many other members of the guild.

Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfillia are called a couple by many fans. If you know fairy tail, you will understand. <3 Natsu has Dragon Slayer magic (below) , so he can summon and eat fire. he is one of the most powerful members of the guild *.*  .

Natsu Dragneel, athough powerful, also has a nemesis. His name is gray (idk what his last name is) Who has ice powers. Understandable XD.

This group often partakes in many adventures. Sometimes these adventures are for money. Sometimes, they are thrilling adventures with death defying villians OMG 0,0!

     Review by The Local Critic

Lights, camera, action. Welcome to the monthly episodic blog show called “The 3 minute movies” and starring me, the critic from that show that no one knows and now starts review. Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the pilot! Today we will be looking at “Three Wise Cousins.” This movie is about a New Zealander who tries to impress a crush by going to Samoa or the bush and tries to be an island guy. He tries to search for his cousins Tavita and Mose and then trains to become an “island” guy by trying to sweep and rake leaves, climb a tree and make food. It’s pretty funny with humor to go all around and scoring a 9/10 on IMDb this is a great movie. It talks about his life with his parents and is someone who is really doing bad, he doesn’t have a job and he doesn’t pay rent. When he leaves the bush he realizes that he isn’t as nice as the beginning of the film makes him out to be. When he comes back home he changes, gets around 3 to 4 jobs, goes to college, and tries to bring the Samoan lifestyle to New Zealand. In the end, he apologizes to his cousins and gets his crush to like him for a bag he made. In conclusion, this film earned a 9/10 which is a great review,. This has been “3 minute movies.” I’m The Critic and I say, "Thank you."

This column is for all the video game lovers. We will discuss the latest topics in video games and apps. Today we will talk about the very popular, Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go has been the hot topic of the online world since it came out!  People have downloaded it but many gamers are not playing safely.  As a result, Niantic, the game developer, has been trying to make the game is safer for its players.  But the best way to make this game safer is simply you.  First off, you need to watch your surroundings.  This is important because people are entering dangerous areas, bumping into things, and trespassing while playing game, their heads down and eyes on their screens.   Also, when you go out at night, always have a flashlight so you can see where you are going.  Here are examples of how not to play Pokemon Go.

Walking while playing Pokemon Go may invite unexpected consequences, especially if you are unaware of your surroundings.

In addition to safety, gamers want to know how excel in the game.  The first topic will be about pokeballs.  There are three types of pokeballs: the normal, the great, and the ultra. Each increase the odds of catching pokemon, yet are all different.  Look closely at the CP before you try to catch the pokeball.  All the pokemon have a certain CP that the pokemon can reach its highest level at.  The higher the CP, the harder it may be to catch it.  

CP stands for Combat Power.  Based on the pokeball's combat power, it will make a difference when you battle gyms.  The higher the CP, the better your chances when you are in battle.  You can power up a pokemon using 1 candy to up to 4 candies.  But be careful: you'll sap your stardust and it can become more difficult since the higher the CP gets, the more stardust required.  

Pokemon Teams. There are currently three pokemon teams and everyone is debating which team is better.  From my point of view, the only difference is the symbol pokemon that represents the team.  Mystic's symbol is Articuno, Instinct's is Zapdos, and Valor's is Moltres.  The real question is, Does everybody have a good reason why they joined a particular team?  This is a fact that they really need to think about. These are the signs for Mystic, Valor, and Instinct. All these logos were taken from Google.
